Growing up in the Midwest, there were always blueprints around my house. My father was a hydrologist and engineer who later became a commercial developer. One of my earliest memories was of my Dad handing over some topographical maps and asking me to use my colored pencils to make them pop for his presentation.
After graduating with a BFA in Fine Arts and a minor in Gallery Management, I became more interested in spatial design. I worked for Steuben Glass and was involved in a corporate renovation of their Corning (NYC) offices and oversaw the development and building of several Steuben showrooms worldwide. I later went on to work for a reputable retail contractor and built stores for Burberry, Escada, Cartier, and Starbucks.
I left the corporate world and moved onto residential construction after my second child’s birth.
Over the past 20 years and through hundreds of successful projects, I have developed long-term working relationships with residential construction contractors and other professionals (architects, engineers, etc.). I have worked with local permitting and building departments and know who to contact for specific building requirements. I have scoped out the best sources for residential construction fixtures and materials, offering the highest quality at the best prices.
As your home construction and renovation consultant, I will be with you every step of the way to streamline and help you navigate the renovation process. There are hundreds of moving parts in a home renovation, and I will be your point of contact for all of them from start to the “WOW!” project finish.
